One downfall is you need the monster tees with this 450 cc head. I used the standard tees a couple of times and ended-up toping the ball over half the time.
The other downfall is bad hits will go farther the wrong direction. Sounds stupid, but hey it's an issue. You can mis-hit a ball three fairways out of bounds. This club is not for golfers who struggle with the big-stick. If I hit the rest of my bag as well as my driver I'd play in the 70's and 80's instead of the 90's.

If your swing has a slight “out to in” path and if you happen to get a little late with the delivery of the head into impact.This head will work well for you if your miss off the tee is a fade ( goes to the right if you are a R/H golfer) and if you generally miss the fairway on the right side 9 times out of 10.If you happen to also play fairly infrequently but need something that will step up for you and perform well without lots of play then this head is the way to go. Adjust the Callaway hosel sleeve to the D (more draw) setting which closes the face a bit more and then use the +1 or -1 to higher or lower the flight a little and you are good to go. For even more consistency and to help with the out to in path you could look at a shorter length shaft.
This head can take a shorter shaft length so even as short as 44.5” will help to work with the path problem and also aid with the off centre face hits. The Fusion from Callaway was way ahead of its time and future driver designs will certainly follow this vein, of a lighter weight body and more focused back weight, in an attempt to push the MOI as high as possible. I had tried for the past 4 to 6 years to replace an old brass headed putter and it was beginning to drive me crazy. I was recommended by a friend who knew Derek and I booked a 30 mins putter fitting. I brought along 3 of the many putters I had bought and was using depending on which one let me down the least on any given month. The set up and team are great I was taken straight in and told to putt away.
I was told I have a straight putting path and all 3 of the putters I brought along were toe heavy putters and all bar one were far to long. I am 5ft 6in tall and was shown that I struggled to get my eye line within 5 inches above the ball path. Two of the putters I was fitted for by a well known retailer. At foregolf I was given a series of putters to see what I liked to try and balance it with what I needed.
Such a great experience and I left realising I wasn't mad the last few years struggling from 4 ft. My weight and roll were really good according to the data so once I had the right club put in my hand it felt great.
This is a REAL fitting center and until you experience the data and the method of fitting I don't think you can appreciate it. Regarding cost I am currently waiting on my less than 250 euros odyssey putter from foregolf which will replace the putters I had previously bought, one of which was a scotty which cost over 350 euros so that puts it all into perspective. In this case, the culprit is usually.
CT, as it is abbreviated, is a measurement of the springiness of the clubface (a measurement of the spring-like effect, in other words). A manufacturer can unintentionally exceed the limit on CT, rendering a driver head non-conforming. Typically when that happens, the manufacturer will make tweaks to the clubhead design, correct the issue and re-submit the club for approval.
When a driver is intentionally non-conforming: Those off-brand or niche companies that intentionally make and market non-conforming drivers don't bother submitting them to the USGA and R&A. They build them to be 'illegal,' after all. Typically, by making the clubheads larger than the rules allow. The Rules of Golf limit driver clubhead volume to 460cc. So a company that wants to make an 'illegal driver' will design a clubhead that is 500cc. Or even 700cc. Huge, in other words.
Way over the limits. Massive clubheads also create measurements far higher than are allowed by the rules.
